Centrepay is Centrelinks free billing service that you can arrange deductions from directly from your Centrelink Benefit. It’s like a direct debit facility that is completely controlled by the customer and they can be stopped and started at any time.
Some rental companies have qualified to offer the Centrepay service to it’s customers meaning the payments for rental products can come directly out of a customers Centrelink payment.
Companies have restrictions on how they use the word Centrelink and Centrepay in their advertising and Centrepay providers are even limited on how they can use the terms on their website.
You often see Centrepay Payments or Centrelink Payments referred to as Government Benefits.
Pros for the Customer
The best thing about this service for the customer is they don’t need to worry about missed payments or not having enough funds in their bank account to cover the repayment because once they have set up their Centrepay deducation for their chosen rental appliance the payment comes out of their Centrelink payment before they even received.
It is an easy set and forget method to be able to get access to appliances such as phones, computers, fridges, washing machines and more that a customer may not have had the funds to buy outright.
Remember if you can afford to buy outright you will save yourself a lot of money compared to renting an appliance. But if you do not have that luxury then renting the product through Centrepay is another option to explore.
