All Set Rentals

All Set Rentals is a Perth based rental company servicing Bayswater and the metropolitan area and is currently one of the largest rental product providers in Western Australia.

There is a large selection of products to choose from and it is easy to see why they are on of the biggest rental providers in Western Australia they have been in the rental game for a long time.

Does All Set Rentals Do Credit Checks?

On their website we were unable to find their terms and conditions regarding this which is always a concern. You should be able to access all the information regarding the fine print and terms and conditions on the website. Be sure to ask the right questions when going through this company to make sure it is suitable for your needs

Does All Set Rentals Have A Physical Store?

They have a head office located in Bayswater, Western Australia but the product applications are taken online or over the phone.

Are The Products New?

The products are new if you want a longer term rental if you are going for a product and want to rent it for less than 12 months they provide pre-loved, near new rental products. They also state you will get a new one "if you ask for a new one" so keep that in mind, make sure you ask for a new one if you want one or you will probably end up with a second hand as-new condition item.

Does All Set Rentals Have Free Delivery?

In most cases the delivery and pick-up are free within Perth

Does All Set Rentals Accept Centrepay/Centrelink Payments

Yes - All Set Rentals accepts government benefits and is one of the companies listed on our Centrepay approved rental companies list.

Do I Need To Pay A Deposit At All Set Rentals

A payment typically needs to be made on the delivery of the goods but it is not a deposit it is a rental payment. Typically they don't request a bond either

Is All Set Rentals A Scam?

They are definitely not a scam and have been in business for many years.

They do however have some questionable marketing tactics including using competitors names in their Google Advertising campaign. Promoting "Rent To Own" which it is not rent to own it's rent with the option to own at the end of the consumer lease contract and phrases such as "if you ask for a new one, this can be done on a 12 month rental" suggesting if you don't ask for new you will potentially get a as-new condition item.

Also this is a big one and one at RentBot that needs more education around it, in their FAQ's they have the question "does it cost less if I hire it for a longer term" which they answer with "yes, we have even better rates for long-term contracts" while the weekly or fortnightly repayments might be slightly lower it is misleading to say it will cost less when in fact the total price of the contract increases substantially over the longer contracts and you will pay a lot more overall than what you would on a shorter contract.

What Else Do You Need To Know

Based on the wording on their website and the lack of terms and conditions and privacy policies available make sure you know exactly what you are getting yourself into before agreeing to any contracts. They seem to lack a lot of transparency on their website.

All Set Rentals Pros & Cons

Our Opinion On The Pros & Cons of All Set Rentals

Pros

  • Large Range of Products
  • Fast Delivery
  • Centrepay

Cons

  • Poor Transparency on the Website
  • Misleading claims on their website with things "costing less" & "rent to own"

Conclusion:

It's hard to recommend All Set Rentals with the lack of transparency on the website. If you do choose to go with this company just make sure you read all the small print properly before proceeding. They have a great range and have been around for a long time so the website information might not be a true reflection on their service.
