One of the attractions to Rent4Keeps is they don’t restrict you to products in their range or supplier relationships, allowing you to rent any product from any retail supplier of your choice.

One thing to note in Rent For Keeps website is the use of the word ‘Rent To Own*’ which they highlight in regularly on their site which is very misleading as in their terms it states

References to ‘rent to own’ and or ‘rent to buy’ are explanatory only to ensure the consumer, customer, user or enquirer are clear that there is no further fees payable to rent4keeps after the term of the rental. The customer nominates the person to receive the gift at the end of the term and there are no further payments required at the end of the rental agreement. 

So in reality they aren't renting to own at all they are simply renting to "gift" to someone else. It's these kind of terms we want to make customers aware of just so they fully understand what they are signing up for. Rent4Keeps is really Rent2Gift based on the terms on their website.

Does Rent4Keeps Do Credit Checks?

They aren't overly transparent on this on their website other than some of their promotions stating that they are subject to normal credit assessment criteria. It just doesn't state what that criteria actually is.

They are a franchise and have representatives in different locations in different states that will assist you with your rental enquiries. They have over 80 territories covered across Australia

Are The Products New?

Yes - The products that Rent 4 Keeps supplies are brand new and you even have the option to choose the item you want to rent from any retailer. You are not bound by their supplier relationships with gives the customer a lot of freedom for choice.

No - Rent for Keeps is just another rental company although they do have some questionable wording on their website about renting to own.
